Siri Car Start

As an owner of the new Apple iPhone 4S I’ve asked Siri a bunch of useless questions that probably won’t make any difference to my life. However, as a car enthusiast, I’ve always wanted Siri to do more with an automobile rather than just read out texts or reply to texts.

Basically, Siri has the power to communicate with a proxy server, which could then be used to control any internet-connected devices. That was discovered by @plamoni who has now become know as the creator of Siri Proxy.

The chap in this video, known by his YouTube handle , used his ‘Viper Control’ plugin with plamoni’s ‘Siri Proxy’ to start and stop his Viper SmartStart enabled Acura TL.

“The command is sent from Siri to a Viper server, then relayed via cellular connection to the car,” says . “The car then broadcasts an update via RF to the key chain remote.”

Check out the video after the jump.
